Squid is a marine delicacy that is considered one of the fastest, second only to tuna, dolphin and swordfish in speed. If necessary, the squid can develop high speed and fly out of the water, sweeping it tens of meters. The body has a cylindrical shape, at one end of which there are triangular fins, and at the other – a mouth opening, around which ten tentacles grow, two of which clearly differ in size.
Squid is an excellent source of easily digestible protein, as its concentration is much higher than that of any type of meat or fish. Protein is one of the main elements that make up our bones, muscle tissue, hair and any tissues of our body.
Squid is full of vitamins and polyunsaturated fats, which play a huge role in a balanced diet. In addition, like all seafood, squid is rich in minerals – iodine, phosphorus, copper, zinc. This seafood is useful for digestion, because it contains a large amount of extractive substances, which has a positive effect on the production of digestive juices.
Eating squid helps to eliminate headaches, reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, and strengthen immunity.
